AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS Jan 13, 2007 - Philadelphia at New Orleans - 8:00 pm - FOX Saints all the way. The Eagles may look like they are a powerhouse, but the Saints have the game in the bag already. (Sorry, Quack. Saints are going to win this one. [ Thoughts?

Aaaaaaaaaaand you're wrong.
Eagles Offense vs Saints Defense: The Saints have an average defense to say the least. They have slow linebackers and average CBs. The Saints are the 6-7th worst run stopping defense in the league. Brian Westbrook and possible Buckhalter will have a field day. In the previous meeting between the Saints and Eagles, Westbrook had 70+ yard rushing and that is when Andy Reid was running the offense. That means that there were less running plays being called and he still had 70+ yards. If he can get to the outside he should be able to get to the secondary every time because of the Saints slow linebackers. Then they can punch it up the middle with Buckhalter and if he happens to break free, he has speed too and he might have some big runs. Garcia should once again be able to not make turnovers and will be safe with the ball.
Saints Offense vs Eagles Defense: The Saints main objective is throwing the ball, with an occasional rush up the middle with McAllister or an outside run with Bush (which barely ever work). The Eagles have a good and fresh (due to the rotation) defensive line and they should be able to stop the run. They have quick linebackers and secondary who can get to the outside to stop Bush. Now to the passing game, the Eagles have 2 Probowlers (Sheppard, Dawkins), but don't count out the other two. Considine came in late and has bloomed in the last few games and Sheldon Brown is a former Probowler who is still dangerous. Eagles also have great backups (in case you are worried about Sheppard being hurt), Rodrick Hood could be a starter on any other team (and probably will be next year) and Hansen is a young CB with quickness. The linebacks and D-Line should be able to hurry Brees and the Secondary should be able to stop the pass.
My Prediction: Eagles, in a shootout.
Go ahead and read that because it does prove how the Eagles will win.

I don't think that Eagles running will go far.... aaand Bush > Eagles. That possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen. Think about it. The Eagles have seen the same type of player for 5 years, Westbrook has been on their team and he catches and runs like Bush so the defense has practiced and played with a player like that for so long.

Wait wait wait. Bush > Westbrook. Westbrook is NOT as fast as Bush. Bush has more agility and quickness than Westbrook. I still love you; <3.

All of which Bush doesn't have. He tries to run backwards to make plays and he ends up losing 5 more yards. DEE DEE DEE. BTW: Reggie Bush had 25 rushing yards (2.4 average) and 30 receiving yards against the Eagles last time they met. So he won't be the difference maker AT ALL.

Bush does have power and vision. BWHAHAHAHAHAHA. Power? He's one of the weakest RBs in the league. Vision? Yeah, maybe on the college level. He tries to make big plays and screws himself over. He does break one free once in a while, but it is obvious by his average per run that he isn't a very good RB yet. Westbrook averages 5.1, Bush averages 3.5...
